Gold does not age. Verdigris is what time does to everything else. In Alchemy of the Oracle the two meet on one surface: a field of gold, and over it a standing figure drawn in oxidised green — part sign, part body, part instrument. Its horizontal bars read like a staff or a ladder, its legs like a stride that never completes.
The marks around it — a cross, a ring, a loop, a small tangled spiral — are not decoration. They are the grammar of Cosmic Syntax: symbols that ask to be read, not explained. The oracle here is not a prophet who answers but a witness who stays, upright inside the slow chemistry of the surface while the gold keeps moving beneath the green.
Look from a distance and you see a figure. Look closely and you see the time it took: layers of leaf, oxidation, acrylic and resin, each allowed to change before the next arrived.
