Named for Izanami, the Japanese goddess of creation and death, this large canvas combines gold metal leaf with acrylic across a 170 × 150cm surface — the gold marking out passages that interrupt the darker acrylic ground.
The subtitle, "Time is Precious," runs through several works from this period: a reminder painted directly into the material rather than stated outright.
